The two have similar goals: mobility. However, the portable hotspot can prove to be really useful especially for those who always need to communicate with their clients, bosses or perhaps their families. Remember the difference: cellular routers are for GPRS connection and MiFi connects you through 4G technology. The latter comes with data plans from service providers. It is able to reach up to 140kbps at an average.

You can stop worrying about battling with other people for a decent wireless connection. You don’t have to bore yourself out waiting for search results on your mobile phone. All you need to do is to simply get a data plan from any of the mobile phone service providers and start using your modem. This is a cheaper and more convenient way of telecommuting without any hassles at all.
