Since 1948, the owners of Couple's Resorts have fine-tuned the experience they want their guests to remember. Romance, Privacy, Beauty, Committed Service and Total Relaxation in exceptional settings are their goals. Because of this, Conde' Nast has voted them the #1, #2 and #3 favorite all-inclusive resorts several years in a row. While there may be new hotels and resorts going up around these established honeymoon spots, we know it will take the new ones years to get the service down that we experienced at Sans Souci.
Traveling in mid December, we found the Couple's Resorts perfect for your destination wedding, romantic honeymoon location and memorable anniversary or vacationing spot for any age couple. At the airport, Couple’s Resorts have a greeting area after you leave the customs. They escort their guests to air conditioned vans and send them to the correct resort. On Jamaica there are four Couples Resorts plus many other popular all-inclusive resorts.
Best Times To Visit: U.S. winter and spring months.
Worst Times To Visit: Very hot in June/ July and August through November is the hurricane season although Jamaica is rarely bothered by hurricanes.
Airports: Montego Bay, Kingston and a Nigril Airstrip
Cruise Liner Docks: Montego Bay, Ocho Rios
Land & Sea: Cruise ships come into Jamaica; you can extend your vacation by combining a cruise and resort package.
Specials for First Time Honeymooners: Sans Souci offers a complimentary 55 minute massage for two.
Jamaica offers four all-inclusive locations: Ocho Rios, Sans Souci, Swept Away and Negril at various points of the island. Each of these resorts are located on the coastline of beautiful Jamaica and offer views, water sports, wines plus bottles of alcohol in your room. Each of the resorts have several bars.
for mixing any style drink you prefer and each bartender had his own special concoction. The plate is the chef’s palette serving beautifully presented food for the breakfast buffet and each five course meal at two on-site restaurants. The vans can be scheduled to take you to explore other nearby Couple's resorts and restaurants.
We found of the couples we met appreciated the room service meals for various reasons. One couple had always wanted to experience breakfast in bed, another arrived late and hungry, another had an injury and required dinner in their suite... .and another said they were hungry again. Guests certainly do not lose weight here.
Most Couple's Resorts have tennis, beach and golf sports on-site or nearby, so you can be as active as you desire. We were amazed at the number of guests that appeared out of nowhere for a delightful beach party with Jamaican food favorites and fun entertainment. You forget there is anyone else on the property, the resort is so private and quiet with three swimming pools and delightful beach. We will remember the marimbas band and the sound of waves lapping the shore. Another twilight gathering is a welcoming poolside cocktail party. There are several fun excursions included in their all-inclusive package. You may find one or all memorable.
Destination weddings are made easy at San Souci and the other Couple's Resorts handle several weddings a day with wedding coordinators, flowers, professional photographer and your catered banquet for two or a hundred to complete everything in style. There are several ceremony locations on resort site with backdrops of palm trees and ocean. Corporate incentive business events are given complete coordination at these locations and offer several creative team building events, plus Internet in each room at San Souci.
There is much to explore on Jamaica. Many flags have flown over their island with world famous entertainers being born there and having homes to enjoy. Famous for their mountain grown coffee and tropical climate we found it an island filled with friendly people who were very proud of their country. Seeing the island is part of the fun...either with a car rental [drive British Style], or sign up for many of the day trips the resorts offer to the various island excursions. They include biking, scooters, rain forests, coffee plantations, climbing waterfalls, unique bird sanctuaries, golf courses, sailing, scuba or snorkel diving plus the dinner houses and night clubs (including Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville) in the major ports. Add this to the quiet beaches and you will quickly understand the question they often asked us, "Will you return?" Who could resist.
Bob Moore & Judith Rivers-Moore love to travel. It is their joy to share with couples the uniqueness of a location and explore the plus side of a destination wedding spot. Linking thousands of wedding and honeymoon locations and wedding services worldwide is the goal of the WeddingLinks team and they manage to visit and write about for their web portal.
