Have you any idea what the voracity of health insurance is in this country. Well its massive, and you wonder why your premiums are so high. There are many to blame and whoever they are they are crooks. Health insurance fraud committed by people that are looking to make some kind of fake claim and collect from the insurance company for these claims. This takes all kinds, it could be a doctor, individuals and even companies.
There are many different ways insurance fraud can be produced and all by the way are illegal. Medical employers working with an attorney can file fraudulent reports. An insurance company will pay an individual and they as a team with spit the proceeds. A doctors office also working with a treatment facility can request certain procedures that are false and see a payment from the facility.
Patients also commit health insurance fraud. One, by making false claims about an illnesses that does not exist. Another is If you are not completely truthful when you fill out your application or paperwork on questions regarding your health this can be a form of fraud. It wont be a problem until its time to pay a claim and then the insurance company investigates.
Many health insurance companies are just as guilty of fraud. My favorite is not paying on legitimate claims. Say you get sick and the claim is filed through your doctors office the company may falsely deny paying it and the hospital of doctors will come after you for payment. Most people get frustrated with getting any answers and when and if you go to fight them on it they will reverse their decision. Then you have companies or brokers who intentionally have no plans to pay out claims they simple collect from thousands of people and when the iron gets hot they close shop and disappear.
There are so many ways that companies and people are cashing in on fraud and the dollar amount each year is astronomical. As long as there are people who are willing to risk prison time with a bit of greed there will be fraud. Remember to answer all your questions truthfully and be honest about you health or you might be liable for fraud.
You will find loads of companies that offer individual health insurance. Before you decide which to use you want to read over the medical insurance policy very carefully to know exactly what you are getting.
