The hormonal balance of the woman is highly sensitive to certain factors that may arise. With this, one must consider that these hormones that are commonly referred to as the female sex hormones play a vital and crucial role in the reproductive system of a woman.
Fertility is a term commonly used in significance for a woman to be able to get pregnant. When a woman is found to be fertile, she has higher chances of getting pregnant if she and her husband would make love. When a woman is fertile, the body itself helps prepare the possibility of the birth and growth of a baby.
These are the following physiological signs and symptoms present when a woman is fertile:
1)Vaginal secretion is thick, secretions tend to have a sticky characteristic that helps facilitate the movement of the sperm.
2)There is increase in libido when the woman is fertile.
3)Hot flashes would usually be present as well when a woman is fertile.
4)A sudden shift – drop of the body temperature usually is noted especially early in the morning before getting up.
5)Mood swings can also be observed as the hormonal change alters the behavior of the woman. Sometimes they tend to become too emotional during this period.
With this, she has to consider that the biological feature of a woman is highly affected when certain circumstances would arise. Thus, it would affect the fertility of the woman and reduce the likelihood or chance of having a baby.
Factors Affecting Fertility in Women
These are the following factors that usually play a role in the alteration and disruption of the hormonal balance of the woman. This would result to an irregular menstrual period:
1)Lack of sleep
2)Stress
3)Unhealthy lifestyle – drinking alcoholic drinks and smoking
4)Unhealthy eating lifestyle – eating too much fat and food high in cholesterol, salty and sweet food items
5)Fear
7)Anxiety
One of the factors stated above includes lack of sleep. The pathophysiology of the body when there is not enough sleep would likely disturb the normal function of every part of the body. Normally, each and everyone needs to have an average of 6 to 8 hours of sleep every day. However, there are those circumstances wherein such cannot be achieved. This may be due to work-related reasons, problems, insomnia condition, medication being taken, and many more.
However, the explanation of why lack of sleep alters the fertility of the woman is because when a person lacks sleep, there is a decrease in energy as well. There are those individuals that sometimes would be experiencing indigestion, restlessness, and many more. When these do occur, the body would not be able to secrete hormones that can facilitate the fertility period. You may have noticed, if you do not have enough sleep, your skin would tend to become dry, your eyes would sink, and you would be feeling restless and weak. The same result would occur to the reproductive system. There’s a greater possibility that the eggs released would be immature, the pH balance of the woman would also be altered, and the overall energy of the woman would be dysfunctional when there is lack of sleep.
