The first radical study of penis size was conducted by researcher Alfred Kinsey. It was done in 1948. The study looked at 3500 college males. From the study, Dr Kinsey concluded that the mean length of an erect penis was 6.21 inches +/-0.77 inches, which signifies that the penis lengths ranged between 5.44 inches and 6.98. But the study had flaws as a result of the way the measurement was taken. Kinsey, actually approved the boys to measure it themselves!.So given this scenario, naturally these men would not have been completely honest with Kinsey.

The other study I did like different was the study done by Ansel (the guys who bring you Lifestyles Condoms). I think it left the smallest amount of mistake. In the spring 2001 in Cancun, Mexico, Ansel assembled a total of 301 male volunteers of at least 18 years old of age. Each subject was measured by a researcher, which eliminated the cheating reason. The survey results showed that average penis when erect is 5.87 inches and the girth is 4.97 inches.

Therefore considering each and every one of the information above, I would conclude that the average erect penis is probably closer to 5.5 inches. Now that you know that the average penis size is 5.5 inches, you can now go ahead and compare yours with this benchmark and decide what you deserve to do accordingly. For the person that falls short of this number, it gives him a solid and realistic aspiration to work towards. For the one that is above it, well, he can rest easy knowing that he is one up over the majority.
