Alternative therapies such as acupuncture, acupressure, aromatherapy, botanical medicine, herbs, homeopathic medicine, massage therapy and chiropractic therapy are designed to help return the body to a natural state of balance.
Cat arthritis is a progressive disease characterized by the inflammation of the joints. It tends to be a chronic condition and its symptoms recur, becoming more severe over time. Cat arthritis usually appears in older or geriatric cats but it can also develop in younger pets. It's not very common, but it can be a very uncomfortable, even debilitating disease among our feline friends.
Toxoplasmosis and Bartonellosis are two diseases that can be transmitted from cats. It is important to note though, that those diseases are most likely to be contracted from a litter box, or even from biting – but it is highly unlikely that it will be contracted from cat scratches.
Cats have relatively short life spans compared to humans, though they are living longer today than ever before. If you care for your cat properly they may live twenty years or more. Of course, felines can suffer from many of the same health conditions that lead to human deaths, such as cancer.
Arthritic cats often gradually stop jumping up as high as they once did, and may be reluctant to use the stairs. (Arthritis can cause litterbox problems if there is not a box on every level of the home.) Providing "steps" (a box or stool, for instance) up to a bed, chair, or other favorite high spots may be greatly appreciated by an older cat.
Since animals refuse to swallow noxious chemicals, they are force-fed liquid chemicals by stomach tube or through a hole cut in the animal's throat. Other variations of animal testing include forcing the test subjects to breathe the chemical fumes, or applying the poison to the animal's shaved skin, or injecting the substance into the animal's abdomen.
No painkillers are used as these substances may affect test results. No remedial treatment is given to injured animals. Those innocent creatures not fortunate enough to die from animal testing are eventually killed and used for autopsy, or recycled and used for additional testing
Pets usually lead active lives. Dogs and cats especially like to run around the house, playing hide and seek just like kids, and leap from one height to another. Unusual and frequent diminishing of their daily activities may be a sign that your pet could be suffering from an arthritic ailment.
Exercising for back everyday will be recommended if pain is not so severe. Exercising improves the blood circulation in the body and as such enabling the person to have more oxygen circulated in all parts of the body. The exercise for back pain that doctors may instruct are normally easy to do and less tiresome.
Besides pharmaceuticals in drinking water, many over-the-counter drugs and compounds from shampoos, detergents and deodorants were found in drinking water, too. The substances have been found almost everywhere researchers have looked for them.
