Despite the success of Survivor, Jeff Probst is now contemplating on leaving the hit adventure reality show that has escalated him to fame and popularity. He rationalizes his departure as something that he has to do for himself, possibly pursuing other interests.
He has been part of the show since its initial launch in May 2000. And although he has significantly contributed to the sensation of Survivor, he is confident that the show can continue without him. With his exit on the show, he expects Survivor to still come out as a topnotch program since he is positive that it will still consistently bring forth the same level of adventure impact and intensity even with a different host.
Probst, a 44-year old Emmy Award-nominated television personality, is popularly known for hosting the reality show Survivor. This native of Wichita, Kansas graduated from Newport High School and also studied at Seattle Pacific University. Prior to his inclusion on Survivor, he worked as a host on the show Backchat and Rock & Roll Jeopardy! He also served as a correspondent for Access Hollywood and even wrote and directed the movie Finder’s Fee. In addition, he also formerly worked as a producer at Boeing Motion Picture.
On the other hand, he admits that he is a bit hesitant to quit the show that has done so much for his career. He asserts that he has learned so many things from doing the show. In fact, it has become an aid for his improvement and development as a person. He also values his work and takes pleasure in being part of an infamous program.
Probst’s contract with Survivor extends until the sixteenth season of the program. Given this, avid fans can still catch the brilliant host for two more seasons before he exits the show.
