If you think that losing belly fat is tough, then actually getting six pack abs is a far tougher endeavor. Most of us do not just lack muscle tone in the abdomen, we actually have a fair bit of fat covering them up. Blame it on unhealthy lifestyles brought about by the pressures of modern life if you must. The fact is that if you want a muscled abdomen you could be proud of, you will need to put some real effort into it.

If you are prepared and psyched to get your own six pack abs, then follow these tips to help you along.

Cut down on extras.

"Six pack abs" refers to abdominal muscles in a six-pack configuration, not abs brought about by six-packs of your favorite drinks. If you want to get a ripped belly, then you must cut down if not totally cut out things like alcohol, fatty foods, and other not-quite-smart choices. No beer, no fries, less coffee, no sweets – yeah, the things that most of us like, you have to avoid. It is not just hard in terms of physical effort, but also a Herculean battle of willpower.

Watch your portions.

Even when eating "healthy" food you have to be careful. You can’t eat too much, or you will set yourself back. Additionally, make sure to eat less fat, less carbs, and more fiber and protein. The fat and carbs are the primary sources of energy, meaning that by taking in less of them, your body will digest your fat reserves for energy. Protein is important in order to maintain muscle tone and actually build those six pack abs. Fiber is good all around - -it cleans your GI tract and keeps you regular in the toilet. Remember – moderate your food, even if it is "healthy".

Do your exercises right.

You should pick the right abs exercises to get the results you want, but more importantly you should do them right. Know the proper way to do each exercise, pace yourself, and take it slow and steady. If you do it wrong, rush forward, or push yourself too hard, you’ll just end up injuring yourself. Rest is important, because it lets your body cool down and repair the damage, plus adapt to the new strenuous conditions you are putting it in. That means not just taking breaks, but getting enough sleep too.

Eating and drinking to burn fat?

Well, there is no food or drink that actually burns the fats quickly without physical effort, but there are indeed such foods and drinks that can improve the rate of fat loss. Green tea is one such drink, while garlic and onions are some such foods. There are others too, so research and eat and drink your way to six pack abs.

Be virtuous.

The last pieces of advice are the most crucial, yet the most obvious. Be virtuous. Only with discipline, determination, and perseverance can one achieve six pack abs. The path may be long and arduous, but the rewards at the end make it all worth the hardship. - http://www.abfababs.com/weightloss
