Most would argue that the mobile phone is here to stay but at what cost to our health. Yes, the cellular phone is convenient; that is why we use it. We use the cellular telephone so much that it is causing motor vehicle accidents left and right. That is one of the ways it is affecting our health, negatively of course. Anyone can attest to seeing someone driving while blabbing on the phone; most of the times these drivers are so involved with their conversations that they don't even know what's going on around them, in regards to the road and traffic.

In Stockholm, Sweden a recent study conducted by the Karolinska Institute found that there was an increased risk of brain cancer in certain parts of the brain through the regular use of cell phones. The study consisted of 634 subjects over a two year period. Of the subjects 209 already had brain tumors and 425 were completely healthy. This most recent study took place over a 2 year period and showed that increased microwaves from the cell phones did indeed pose a health risk to the brain. Due to the small amount of subjects however a larger study is being done with 3,000 subjects with results due out late in 2009.

In all actuality, cell phones were not meant to be used for the long periods of time and durations they are presently used for by the m(asses) of the American people (or is it sheeple?). But the Ruling Elite (Illuminati) had something else in store for the American people – invasion of privacy! If you didn’t know it, all cellular phones are chipped (have tracers). The NSA (National Security Agency) bugs and records every cell phone transmission and conversation worldwide via satellite. The NSA was the agency chasing Will Smith’s character in the movie "Enemy of the State."

It has not been clearly stated as of yet that there are confirmed reports of cell phone health causing brain cancer. There is no concrete proof that the two are linked to one another. There have been people who came out and said I did not have cancer until I begun using my cell over and over again and the doctors have informed me that the cause of my cancer was related to the usage of my cell. Once again there is no concrete proof that the two are linked other than the one not occurring until the cell phone became a habit.

When we are talking on the phone, the radiation coming from the device is actually absorbed by the brain. This makes the permeability of the blood brain barrier higher. Besides, the synthesis of stress proteins also soars. There was a number of different studies conducted that proved that there is definitely a very clear link between the usage of mobile phones and the increase of people suffering from brain tumors. Even though no exact conclusions can be drawn, the fact that cell phones increase the risk of having cancer is very obvious.

On the other hand, studies with opposing results and observations have also been published. CTIA, the wireless industry's lobbying association pointed out to studies or statements from the World Health Organization (WHO), the American Cancer Society, and the FDA downplaying potential cell phone dangers, "all have concurred that wireless devices are not a public health risk."

By simply having a cell on and using it on a regular basis, users of cellular telephones are exposed to electromagnetic radiation. The electromagnetic radiation is there to help the phone commit basic functions such as sending and receiving: calls, texts, pictures, videos, and data. Cells send signals through radio waves, which are made up of radio-frequency energy that is coincidentally a form of electromagnetic radiation. The common thought is that cancer can be brought on by overexposure to the radiation in cell phones.
