Oily hair affects a lot of people, and there are a number of hair care products on the market for this condition. Unfortunately, many of these shampoos tend to treat this condition with ingredients that have a high detergent content. This puts the sebacious glands into overdrive, and makes the problem even worse.
Natural hair oil can change your hair's appearance and behavior. The key to controlling oily hair is to remove the sebum adequately from the scalp. Shampoo selection is another important consideration. There are many remedies for oily hair to manage oily hair. Do not wash your hair everyday. Use a cleaning shampoo to wash your hair and to scrub off the oil build up.
Over-active sebaceous glands - simply producing too much oil to the scalp
Heat and humidity - Exercise, exposure to the sun, and generally high temperatures outside or in your work environment
People with oily hair may encounter some problems as well when their hair has been damaged from perms, colour, and styling. They may find that while they still have their oily scalp and top of their hair, the ends may become dry, damaged and frizzy. This seems like a complete disaster, but there are solutions for such cases as well.
Did you know you can use beer to wash your hair then rinse with cool water for great hair conditioning. Of course be sure to wash it thoroughly, so that people do not think you had been out drinking too much the night before.
Oily hair-There is a blockage in the hair follicles because of excess oil deposition and dirt in the oily hairs. In oily hair there is a much secretion of sebaceous glands as a result scalp and hairs are very oily.
Essential oils contain the same healing qualities as the plants they were extracted from. But because they're concentrated, they can be irritating to your skin if you use them without diluting them. Always blend a small amount of essential oil into a carrier oil like olive oil, avocado oil, or jojoba oil before using them.
Keeping your hair on your head may be simpler than we formerly have thought. If you know that you're not getting enough vitamins because of your diet, there's no point in changing your diet now.
You can, but it would take longer for the vitamins to reach your ailing scalp. Instead, change your diet while taking vitamin supplements. Common multivitamin formulations with tocopherol, biotin, thiamine, ascorbic acid and the like are sufficient for maintaining a healthy scalp and hair.
You need to find a cleansing shampoo, but be careful. Some shampoos use harsh chemicals to combat this, so look for one that is on the natural side.
Herbal or botanical active ingredients are often combined with Zinc to provide natural deep-cleaning. While heredity seems to be the genesis for active sebaceous glands, harsh chemicals and cleansers can activate and irritate the scalp - leading to increased scalp problems and poor scalp health.
