The onset of call centers in India almost a decade ago has completely changed the way Indian youth thinks, behaves or lives. This process of customer service is generally voice based. These BPOs work 24x7 to resolve customer complaints or to spread out information and other things.

Outbound call centers are aimed at selling the product and earning more profits from the business. The workforce needs to understand in detail the offered products and services to get in more customers for the company. Extensive training is thus given for this voice based process to make employees deal intelligently with unfamiliar situations with patience.

Call centers can be called typical service centers that look into the problems of customers while offering new deals and services to them. Call centers are equipped with sufficient telecom and internet facilities and provide voice as well as web based information to the customers. There is generally a lot of work pressure in the call center industry. Also, the shifts are irregular and night shifts are mandatory. The reason for this is that they majorly entertain US and UK clients and so workload is more at night. Though it has a flip side but they offer a number of facilities, incentives and other perks to make up for it.

Working at call centers can be a viable career option as the industry is vast and keeps growing. Cities like Noida, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Bangalore, etc have in fact become Indian hubs of call centers.
