If you have a loved one enthralled with the game of golf, it only stands to reason that their next party should center around this passion. Golf is more than a hobby for many people. Men and women, young and old are all welcome to try their hand at this game of skill. What better than letting that passion spill over to theme of their get together.
Consider having the party in the actual clubhouse where they like to play, or transform your home or their office into a golf clubhouse with the help of golf themed decorations, and fun golf party favors. For younger golf enthusiasts, for the young at heart, plan the party to coincide with a trip to a mini golf center. The thrill of being able to play the game and celebrate their big day will make it doubly good.
A golf themed retirement party is a fantastic idea. Knowing that there will now be more time for golfing is a great reason to celebrate. A couple who has bonded over golfing will love a golf themed anniversary party. Provide their friends and family members with some fun golf party favors to remember the big day.
When inviting the guests to the party, choose a silly greeting on the card such as; "It's a Tee Party", or "Happy Birdie to George." Set up a banner with one of these saying or maybe something along the lines of "Retirement Suits You to a Tee"
Decorations for a golf party range from the simple to the extravagant. Lots of the color green, fake grass, tees and lots of golf balls are the main focus. Set up a putting green for those who feel as if they are being teased with all the golf party favors and can't wait to get their hands on a club. Set up a contest between your guests and encourage some friendly competition.
Set up a large screen TV and play Wii golf or have videos of famous golf tournaments playing in the background. For real die hard golf fans, have a trivia game centered around golf trivia offering golf party favors as prizes.
Think about other ways to expand on the theme with golf cupcakes; frost with green frosting and pop a little flag in the top or decorate with white frosting. Purchase golf cupcake wrappers and enjoy the simple dessert. But for an even simpler dessert, fill a bucket with donut holes! Serve "iced tee" and "tee-sandwiches" if you want to keep the golf theme going.
