Do you have any idea that PC optimization can be easily done at home without anybody’s help? Still people prefer spending money and calling technicians for home PC repair or optimization. Through this blog I will teach you how to enhance your PC performance.

As you work and do a lot of browsing on the web, the first thing you should be aware about is various computer optimization techniques. It is much better that you pay a regular attention to your computer, rather than have it freeze, locked up, or crashed.

Follow the given computer optimization tips and boost your PC performance.

• Configure your antivirus program checker to update it automatically. This way, it will keep updated with the latest protection.

• Perform a daily scan of your computer when your computer is in idle condition.

• If you download any files through e-mail or just from surfing the Internet, scan all the items before you open it with your antivirus program.

• Download and use registry repair software to scan your computer once a month.

• Use your adware/spyware software once a week. You can schedule this to run automatically, which will help you to keep this updated.

• Never open any attachments or unidentified e-mails from people you do not know. Especially if the file is an .exe file. This is an executable file, and can launch all sorts of viruses.

• Do not open any attachments even from people you do know, if you are not expecting anything from them.

• Programs and Windows use a folder to store temporary files. Not all of the programs clean up properly after they are done. So after a while your temp folder gets full of left over files. There can easily be over 100 MB of files in there that serve no purpose. To remove these out, Click Start -> Run -> type %temp% -> OK. In the window that appears, select everything and press [Shift] + [Delete] keys together. Shift stops the files going into the recycling bin.

• You must use defragmentation tool about once a month, or more if you use your computer heavily.

• Don’t store encrypted web pages. They ask for usernames and passwords. These pages mess up information to prevent the reading of this precise information. You can configure Internet Explorer to not save these types of pages. By this you can easily free up space by saving fewer files to your computer, as well as keeping secure data off your computer.
