Using E-Mail to Build Your Online Business

If there's someone you know and you think that they would be a good team member for your Online Business, you should provide them with the information they need to know to make an informed decision about joining your business. This type of e-mail doesn't have to be long, but it must be precise, to the point and a clear call to action on the part of the receiver. For instance, ask them to visit your website and read what your business has to offer. If you already have a relationship with them, you might ask them to visit your website as a favor to you.

(As a Script)

Hi (person's name), I would like for you to do me a favor. I would like for you go to my website at: www.(yourwebsite address).ws and take a look around and get back with me to let me know what you think about it.

Sometimes that's all it takes to get some one you know to visit your website.

The next category of email marketing is the Relationship Information Marketing. Notice the word Information. That's the key to this kind of e-mail marketing. You've likely seen these in newsletters and e-zines. They don't ask anyone to buy anything, it is simply there to just provide information. Make sure to include a link back to your website somewhere in the e-mail or at the end. You need to be very careful that you do not come across as a MLM Marketer. Your only goal here is to merely provide information in an informational manner. Now at the same time make certain that you leave your calling call (website link) attached to the email.

Try sending out e-newsletters. Studies show e-newsletters that are informative are preferred, but sadly, only about 10% of newsletters are read in its entirety or thoroughly. The main lesson is? Interesting content and proper linking back to your website is the key to a successful email or e-newsletter. Readers will ignore or delete emails or e-newsletters that aren't perceived as useful. Since your whole reason for marketing is to attract and signup prospects; perfecting the writing of emails is a skill you must learn to master.
