Want your amateur print brochures to look like a professional's work? Well you have come to the right place. In this article I have five very easy to follow brochure design tricks that should make your brochure printing good enough that they will look like a professional. It is really just about learning the right ways to layout for brochure printing. So pay close attention and learn.
-
Use invisible lines. A professional never really uses visible lines to make color brochures more pleasing to the eye. They actually use invisible lines to guide certain columns, sections and images to the right places. Use invisible lines to make your color brochures look really great. This makes the brochures cleaner and basically simpler while still developing those proper symmetrical lines. Use those invisible guidelines in design software to make things easier on you.
-
Chunk sections together. Another important trick for that professional look is to chunk sections together. Basically, you do this by grouping the different sections in your color brochures as each its own unit. By emphasizing the different parts of each brochure, you basically make the brochure more effective since people can easily identify which section of the brochure they need. Use a lot of white space and some creative positioning to do this.
-
Minimize style variations. You should of course also always think of consistency in brochure printing and design. This means that you should not always go wild and use different style variations in different parts of the brochure. Use only a limited number of font styles (maybe 2) and use only those two throughout the brochure. You can of course make some text into bold or italic but make sure that those are the only variations. The simpler and more straightforward your designs get the more professional they should look.
-
Contrast your colors. Using the contrasting properties of colors is also a nice trick in making your brochures look like a professional's. By using darker and lighter shades of colors together, you can easily make both colors pop-up with little consequences. Also you can make different colors appear better together by using the colors that are opposite to them in the color wheel. By using contrasting colors you should be able to develop clear and sharp designs that can really communicate to the readers of your color brochure.
Great! Just remember the tips above and if possible try them out immediately. Trust me, you will be able to produce professional looking color brochures easily by just following the important design tricks above.
