Many women focus on making their eyes the most attractive feature on their face and they use false eyelashes to highlight their eyes. Short of growing eyelashes this works very well. It is important that when applying false lashes, you find the best fit and look so that people will notice the attractiveness of your eyes and not see the lashes as fake.
Measure twice, cut once. You will need to trim your false eyelashes for a custom fit. You first need to measure your natural lashes against the false lashes. Take your false eyelash and hold it over your natural lash line to determine how many, if any at all, need to be trimmed off.
Many women make the mistake of trying to dab eye lash glue onto their other lashes directly. This is one of the main reasons your eye lashes will clump. Instead, apply a dab of glue to your finger. Hold the eyelash in your other hand and pull the lashes through the dot of glue. Do this in one fluid motion.
Accent lashes would be a collection of special effects eye lashes that accentuate your eyes. They add just the right amount of drama and "pop" to your look. Fantasy lashes are specially made to show off the different designs made by artisans. Each false eyelash in this collection shows a different story and is inspired by different things - from flora to fauna.
Mascara can only do so much and there is a current trend towards the application of fake eyelashes. These fake eyelashes can either be applied by a professional eyelash technician (circa £50 for a semi permanent set in the UK) who will apply them individually as to how you wish. Or, one can purchase a set of false eyelashes from the internet and apply them yourself in the comfort of your own home.
Using a small cuticle scissor, clip off the remaining lashes at the base, and trim any uneven strands to your liking. Apply a thin layer of the eyelash glue (which is often packaged with the lashes) to the base of the false lashes, making sure to only line the bottom. Working quickly, gently press the glued line just above your natural lash line, adhering the glue to your eyelid as opposed to your eyelashes (this will ensure that you do not pull our your own lashes when the night is through).
The most common and easiest false eyelashes are our old trusty, the one strip lash. This bad girl has been new and improved and gives the entire eye that million-dollar look. Her younger sister, the singles, which are individual lashes to be placed where needed, can usually be found hanging out in the outer corner of the eye; it gives any lash line that come hither gaze. Their newer and more outrageous cousin is the variety lash - she changes shapes and colours faster than a speeding bullet and can be seen on the techno runways, high fashion photo shoots, Halloween or the latest sci-fi flick.
Many false eyelashes come ready-to-wear with a line of glue already attached at the lash line. However, these lashes typically last for only one use and can often dry out more quickly than they can be applied. Try glue-less lashes for a longer lasting, worry-free, and budget-friendly addition to your cosmetic case, and apply eyelash glue (which is often sold in the same package as the lashes) each time you wish to widen your peepers. Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed isn't just for toddlers anymore.
