They say that what matters in life are the simple things. With love, you don’t really need to do something so grand, because simple things from the heart are way better than doing something big that you don’t feel like doing. All relationship needs to be appreciated; this is what makes a relationship grow. Saying you appreciate someone is a simple thing to do yet has a very big impact to the other person.

Sending letters of appreciation to the people you really appreciate is a great way to start. Whether you are a mother who wants to tell a son or a daughter how you feel, or a husband who wants to make the wife appreciated, a letter is always a good first step. And although the letters of appreciation are enough to warm the heart of the person, how about adding up something that would make that person remember that “moment”? Adding a simple token tells more the feeling of how much you really appreciate that person.

Buy something cute and maybe little, something that the person would not forget that it came from you, something unique. If you’re a father wanting to let your little daughter know how much you love her and appreciate her, buy her a teddy bear or a giraffe stuffed toy. Kids may not understand the letter, but they sure will understand stuffed toys. If you’re a friend looking for a simple token, something that a friend would not forget, buy him/her a book. You can buy that friend a book that is humorous, like books of survival such as “The Worst Case Scenario”. If you really like your officemate and you want to tell your officemate that you appreciate him/her, how about buying him/her a cute Appreciation Cake? Although the cake is consumable, the moment will always be worth it.

You can buy many things along with your letters of appreciation. You can buy cookies, whistle, rubber band ball, a book, or anything that would make the moment worth remembering. Appreciating someone is a wonderful feeling and letting them know that you appreciate the small things that they have done for you makes you feel great. To see the person smile when they receive your letters or your gifts are priceless. More so, when they remember to return the favor of telling you they appreciate you too.

Little somethings and letters of appreciation will always make a memory that would be remembered by the sender and the receiver. Again, it’s the simple things in life that matter; in letters, all you have to do is to write how you feel; no need to do fireworks or anything extravagant. The important thing is you have expressed how you feel for the other person.
