In 1985, Frank L. VanderSloot created Melaleuca Inc. in Idaho, USA, after he took over a legally troubled company 'Oil of Melaleuca'. Instead of using the MLM model, he developed a new compensation Scheme for their Independent Marketing Executives, where there would be no risky-up front investment, no hype, and target on everyday consumable products. Which products are good and selling well?
Melaleuca initially started selling product based on Melaleuca Plant Extract, it has since expanded its product selection to include Environmentally friendly household cleansers, Personal Care items, Pharmaceuticals, nutritional supplements and Cosmetics. Their recent addition in 2009 was the home security line of services and products.
Out of the 350 Products, one of the favourite one remains the Clear Power household cleaner, which comes in a 6x concentration level to reduce wastage during delivery and provide the optimum quantity and quality in a bottle to the users.

Compensation Structure
When you first joined as an Independent Marketing Executive by a one time fee of $29, you enjoyed 30 to 40% off their Product Retail Price and opportunity to refer and enroll customers. However you will be required to commit to order 35 product points each month, which is about $55.00 according to your product choice.
Quality Customer Bonus
To meet the requirements for this bonus, you would need to register one preferred customers (35 points monthly purchase) for 5 months, if four out of five are still active after this period, you will start receiving $25 for each preferred customers.
Leadership Development Bonus
This is paid out when you assist your Marketing Executive advance to level of Director and above. However you have to be equivalent or higher status than your advancing Marketing Executive.
