Basic first aid training may actually draw the line between life and death. In the daily journey through life, not all circumstances yield favorably to individuals. Whether you like it or not, accidents happen and when they do, there is nothing else that you can do but face the outcomes.

According to statistics, there have been a lot of accidents and injuries that led to death which could have been otherwise if the proper initial aids have been given. As such, the importance of first aid training is realized and is given more attention that it was before. Accidents and injuries happen at any time of the day, and at any place. Therefore, it is very important that everyone is prepared for any of these.

One of the places where untoward events could happen is the workplace. Not all workplaces are provided with doctors or medical staff; as such first aid training is a must for the staff and the employees. Aside from these, first aid training has been required by some states and countries for workplaces as well. With this, the management sees to it that first aid training is provided to their staff, apart from other trainings that the management has planned for the entire staff.

There are a lot of benefits that can be derived from first aid training. One of these benefits is providing a safer workplace for everyone. With first aid training, each individual is confident that accidents and injuries can be administered with the initial aid because everyone in the workplace is trained for it.

Another important benefit is surviving disaster. Like accidents, disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, tornados, and fires can happen anytime. If individuals are not aware of the necessary things that should be done when such disasters happen, people might be injured, and even die. Thus, training people for disasters and catastrophes help them survive and save other people too.

Perhaps the most important benefit that can be derived from first aid training is prevention for matters to go worse. Some of the basic courses that are included in first aid training include CPR's Automated External Defibrillator, and Fire Safety. The administration of a CPR actually saves lives. Furthermore, the basics of fire safety practically prevent fire from spreading. With the proper administration of first aid skills, the worst scenarios are controlled.

Moreover, the law requires companies and employers to provide first aid training, equipment and facilities. There are specific government agencies that serve as overseers and implementers of this law. In fact, employees are required to obtain a certificate of competence in First Aid at Work(FAW) and Emergency First Aid at Work(EFAW). Various training courses are available for certificates of competency.

Staff training is an important consideration of employees, most especially Staff first aid training.
