It has five distinct stories, and is enclosed with elaborate carvings and verses from the holy Quran.

Humayun’s Tomb in Delhi is one another UNSECO World Heritage Site in the City. It is said the world famous Taj Mahal in Agra has been inspired by the Humayun’s Tomb. In many ways this beautiful tomb monument is as impressive as the Taj Mahal in Agra. This beautiful garden tomb is a memorial monument by a sorrowful widow wife, Hamida Begum, the wife of Humayun. The magnificence of this impressive memorial becomes overwhelming on entering through the superior double storey gateway.
