Do not waste that valuable space in poster printing. Every inch of your print posters must have something in it to make your poster printing look complete. If your own designs for poster printing have lots of white and empty spaces, then you are truly doing something wrong. In this guide, I will teach you how to easily avoid this and not waste space in your poster designs. Let us start with something very practical.
Keeping your dimensions tight.
Sometimes, what is truly wrong with a poster design is that it might be too large. If you have found yourself with a poster design that has little content and minimal images, printing in large color poster dimensions is not ideal. You will get a lot of wasted white space that may not really compliment your design. So make sure that you keep your dimensions tight. Use only the dimensions that should reliably fit your content.
Resizing content to fit effectively.
Now, if a large poster printing is unavoidable, or you do not want to waste your time changing your dimensions, the easiest thing for you to do to eliminate that white space it to resize your content to fit effectively. Of course, do not just enlarge your images and up the font sizes of your posters. Do everything in scale first, and then see if they fit better when done larger.
Usually you may want to adjust your images when this happens since sometimes, the scale might get off. Moreover, for text content, you may need to adjust the formatting since you will probably want to add extra lines for text when you start enlarging your font sizes. Just keep in mind the scale and scope of your content so that you can resize it quite effectively.
Adding good backgrounds that fill white spaces.
If you are still having trouble with empty space after all those adjustments, do not worry. Another thing you can do to not waste space for color poster printing is to use good color backgrounds to fill those white spaces. Do not use a white color poster. Use solid colors, or you can even use gradient color differences to make those empty areas come alive. Background gradients are particularly great in this case since they basically merge several colors together in transition. Just choose the right color theme for your backgrounds and you should have nothing to worry about.
So now you know how to not waste space in your poster printing. Use the tips above and no white space should blemish the look for your full color posters.
