Welcome Aboard!
After wondering around the net for a couple of hours, searching for some good Snooker Training tips, I've come out empty handed. To make sure you aren't going to face the same problem, here are 7 quick and really easy to understand tips about snooker training and better play. Let's dive in, shall we?
Snooker Training Tip #1 - Relax!
So many are overlooking this aspect of the game. It's really quite simple, and ignoring it may (and will) seriously harm your playing. Like the headline reads - just relax! The more relaxed you'll be, the better you'll play.
Snooker Training Tip #2 - Chalk It Up!
This is kind a self explanatory. If you don't get it right away, forget about snooker and read a book, dummy! After every shot (yes, you heard me, Each and every Shot), put some of that blue chalk on your cue's tip. this will increase the fraction between the cue tip and the cue ball, which will result in better aim. Do it, it's easy!
Snooker training tip #3 - Longer Is Better!
Another really neglected aspect of the game of snooker. Make long movements with your right hand when you strike. Short and swift movements will cause you to lose aim - and we don't want that, do we?
Snooker Training Tip #4 - Atennnnnntion!
OK OK, at ease soldier... I just want you to keep your legs straight. Why? Simple. When you bend you knees, you flex your leg muscle, which will cause you to be a bit stiffer. So... What's wrong with that? Well if you asking this question, you clearly didn't read tip #1, so go ahead and do it now. Don't wiry, I'm not offended.
Snooker Training Tip #5 - Remember Remember, The Fifth Of November...
Recognize this phrase? It's from the famous movie "Vendetta." I don't really want you to remember the fifth of November, but I sure got you attention so listen here because this little tip is priceless! After striking the cue ball, don't immediately get up. Stay down for a second and look at the outcome of your shot. Too strong shot? Not enough spin? Remember it for your next shot. As the old phrasing says: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me..."
Snooker Training Tip #6 - Practice, Practice, and uhhh... Practice!
OK this is kind of straight foreword but I've decided to include it here because I get a lot of mails and comments from people who ask me "Why on earth I play so badly??? I've been reading a dozen articles about snooker!." Well reading and educating is important but... You got to implement it on the field! (In this example, the table)
Snooker Training Tip #7 - "Clear Your Mind, and The Rest Will Follow"
Like the old song says, clear your mind. When you play, forget about your hard day, your crappy job, or that terrible fight you had with your partner this morning. Right now you are playing snooker, so think about playing snooker! It has a certain logic to it, don't you think?
Last But Not Least
The last tip I'll give you is to head over to http://professional-pool-billiard.com/ and get your FREE copy of "5 simple steps for playing billiard like a pro." The information you'll find there will take your Snooker Training to a whole new level.
