Henry Wright On "Hyper Faith" Part 1

There is an old debate over popular teaching that is rampant in much of the church today and this teaching is more deceptive than you can believe. In spite of the faith they profess, the churches that practice Ultimate Faith Receiving are filled with all manner of sin (unrighteousness) and disease. They confess the Word and profess their faith but do not cleanse themselves of the filthiness of the flesh and body so their faith can manifest the Word they confess. 2 Cor 7:1

The crux of "believing and receiving" is conditional to our obedience to God's Word, not just the hearing and confession of it.

For example: Deut. 28:1-2 "And it shall come to pass (a prophetic promise from God, which is the ultimate "faith receiving") then it says, "IF", which is the fulcrum condition so receiving can (or should I say is) conditional on the next part of this equation..."if you will hear God's commandments (Word) and do God's commandments, THEN". (the fruit of the "if" is the "then") "then all of these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you."

According to that scripture, the blessings appear to be conditional ... or certainly can be. From my experience (except when God will have mercy on whom He shall have mercy, without regard to conditions) the blessings are conditional to being not just a "hearer" but also a "doer" of the Word. The New Testament echoes this theme; you are to be a doer of the Word, not just a hearer only.

To say The Ultimate Faith message is not working because the people who are not receiving are just "believing a lie", is more evidence for teaching the commandments of God (His Word) so that God's people can become doers of the Word in how they think, speak and act. God honors His Word first, not just Faith. Trying to have Faith without the Word to produce proper results is contradictory to this scripture: "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Rom 10:17
