Lie in bed and just listen to the rain. Close your eyes and hear each drop as it patters on your roof and your window.
Dry off with towels warmed in the dryer. Nothing feels quite as nice as a toasty warm towel when you first step out of the shower.
Hold hands when walking with your loved one. I can't say enough about how physical contact can instantly reduce stress.
Make a surprise call to an old friend. This is a great tactic and fun to do. It's amazing how catching up will brighten your day.
Engage in purposeful, stimulating conversation. Deep chats tend to relax the mind and engage the sense, thereby reducing stress.
