So you want to know how to get rid of love handles fast? First lets consider how you got the love handles in the first place. Men are more prone to love handles than women because while women tend to gain extra weight in the buttocks and thighs men tend to gain weight in the stomach and the love handles are on the sides of the stomach.

So the first thing to realize is that you're going to need to lose weight. That's how to get rid of love handles fast. How fast depends on how serious you are about losing them but the good news is there is a simple formula that can be summed up in five words: Eat less and exercise more. That's it. It's as simple as that no matter what you believe. The bad news is that it's difficult to target specific areas such as the love handles to lose weight fast.

The key to this exercise is to keep the lower half of your body as still as possible so there is some resistance. But wait, that's not all there is to it. If you're really serious about losing your love handles, you're probably going to have to change the way you eat and do 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise at least 3 times every week. You don't need to join a gym and you don't need to buy any special diet foods. All you need to do is eat smarter and burn off more calories. Your 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise could be walking, jogging, running, or biking none of which involves a gym membership.

Just to make it simple, before you eat something ask yourself if a caveman could eat it. Why? Because Americans are so fat because they eat too much processes food. Our bodies evolve very slowly and they haven't changed much from the caveman days. Cavemen were hunters and gatherers. They ate fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts and berries, and lean meats. They did not eat fast food, Doritos, and Twinkies and they were not fat. It takes discipline but if you're serious about losing the love handles, you'll change your eating habits.

How long will it take to get rid of your love handles? Well, how long did it take you to develop the love handles? They didn't just appear overnight, did they? The gradually appeared over time until you reached this point where you want to get rid of them. It's unrealistic to expect your love handles to disappear in a few days or weeks. It might take just as long to get rid of them as is did to "grow" them.

A good idea is to track your progress over time whether that means weighing yourself every week or measuring your waist periodically. Either way you should see steady progress over time that will prove your diet and exercise program is working. After a few weeks, you may not have totally gotten rid of your love handles but you should see enough progress to encourage you to continue with your exercise program.
