By now with the Viagra and Cialis kick flying in high gear, most guys know about the blood holding spongy tissue of the penis and why it's so important to erections. Some guys even know about a particular muscle called the pubococcygeus (PC) that can control premature ejaculation, which is the key to strong lasting erections.

But the pubococcygeus is not the “do all, end all” of penis muscles. In fact aside from maintaining your erection, the PC does little to contribute to the overall size and thickness of the penis. What most folks don't know is that besides the spongy tunnel that holds blood, the thickness of the penis is determined by two muscles; the Ischio Cavernous and Bulbo Cavernous. These two sheets of voluntary (striated) muscle wrap around the shaft of the penis like the belts on a radial tire.

When pumped and contracted these two muscles give added rigidity and thickness to the shaft. As with any of the voluntary muscles, these can be exercised and both their strength and size improved. Exercising your muscles as well as stretching your penile tissue is the key to overcoming impotence for good and forget there is any such a thing as lack of erection. And yes, the sponge tissue that makes up the body of the penis can be exercised too, that’s right!

Even though all the doctors will tell you that your penis is not a muscle, think about it for a minute. If you broke a leg, they would keep you in hospital and attach a traction (stretching) device to your leg to promote the growth of new, healthy bone tissue. Bone tissue can be exercised, yes. It’s what doctors have known and applied for years. It’s what any kid into martial arts learns right from the very first lesson.

And the kids go on kicking hard wood logs or stones to promote bone growth to gain greater strength, endurance and stamina. And it works, too, with great results I might add! It’s not like anything will happen overnight. Exercises take time to show results, it’s true. If you’re in a hurry, feel free to try any pill on the market – taking precautions, of course. But no pill out there can give you anything more than a couple of hours of erection. Pills may be great to solve an erection issue, but they cannot do anything more for you.

Overcoming impotence means a lot more than being able to maintain an erection. It means to feel confident that you are in control of anything that may happen and you can satisfy your partner each and every time. And this kind of self confidence and control doesn’t come in bottles of 30 pills. The keys to strong lasting erections lie within your own body. It’s really amazing to witness how things can change for somebody even after only a couple of months of exercises. It’s like going to the gym. You won’t build award winning abs in a session or two, but you will feel great about yourself every time you exercise!
