It's safe to say that 95% of us were brought up in the same manner. We were raised like our parents were, to get educated enough so we could find a job or start our own business and make a comfortable living for ourselves, but our mindset around making a living has remained constant.

The average person works around 40 hours per week to earn enough income to in order to live comfortably. We then have a tendancy to rationalize that if 40 hour work weeks provide us with what we have if we desire more we must put in more time and then we find ourselves working 50, 60, 70 hours and more per week, but the end result is the same. We trade our time for money and in doing so allow money to become our master.

We fall into the habit of showing up to work every Monday, not because we want to but more out of necessity in order to maintain our current lifestyle. We all have bills to pay and mouths to feed and as soon as we stop showing up we stop getting paid. Even most business owners fall into this trap and it becomes a vicious cycle in linear thinking of going to work, getting paid, paying bills and then being able to save what's left over.

The thing is there is a tendancy for there to be more month than money. The more you work the more you get paid but the less time you have to do the things you enjoy, like spending time with family and enjoying wonderful vacations. Where's the happy medium?Getting what we want in life does not come without effort, I'm sure we would all agree.

People want the good life but very rarely are willing to do what it takes to have it. So what does it take to have the good life? It starts by making the decision to have the good life, and then being willing to 'pay the price' of having the good life.

If what your looking for is more money and more time to enjoy it, then you might have to change your strategy on how you believe money can be made. You don't have to trade your time for money these days. There are many opportunities for you to learn how to leverage your time and earn a significant income without a lot of overhead.

Find a way to live the life that you want to live and go do it. Will it be easy? I hope not because then there would be no excuse for you not to have done it sooner.
