A will is an important thing if you want to make it your money’s worth. A lot of people think that to write a will is only for older people, which is certainly not the truth. Will making is one of the important things that one should consider for his/her beloved people. Because if one dies without leaving a will, the property that he/she used to own will be distributed according to the laws. If none is found who according to the British laws qualifies for the property and/or assets, the same would be property of the crown.
To write a will is no less important than having a life insurance. Below are the top 10 reasons why you should make a will.

2.By writing a will, you can ensure that your assets will be passed on to the person of your choice.
3.If you have children (more than one), making a will ensures that there will be no dispute as per the distribution of your property after you die.
4.Even if you are married or in a civil relationship (with a person of the same sex or not), you can make a will if you want some part of your treasure goes to your partner and some to others of your choice.
5.In case you are not married or in any civil relationship, your partner will not be entitled to any of your property by law. But by writing your own will, you can decide what portion of your property your partner will be entitled to.
6.If you are divorced, you can decide whether your previous spouse, who is living with someone else, will be entitled to any of your property or not by writing a will.
7.If your civil relationship has been dissolved, you can decide by writing a will whether your previous partner will get any of your property or not; while the said partner is living with anybody else.
8.Writing wills make sure that your property goes to a certain trust or organization (profiting or non-profit) of your choice if that be the case.
9.Drawing a will makes sure that you do not have to pay more inheritance tax than necessary.
10.If your personal or financial circumstances are changed, it is necessary to make a new will and to declare that all your previous wills have been undone. Thereby, your possessions will be distributed according to your latest wishes.
There is no legal need of the presence of a solicitor while making a will in UK; although the presence of one may be necessary in order to avoid legal unclearness and unnecessary complication after your death.
