If you have taken a summer holiday in Cyprus, you may find yourself unwilling to go back home. Once you've taken several trips to Cyprus, you just might decide that you want to make it a permanent residence. It happens all the time once people get a chance to experience the climate, the people and the great cuisine.
Realistically, you need to consider that you have to give up your job, sell your home, and the entire process may be expensive (though that does depend on where you are currently living). Is it worth the all the trouble and expense to radically change your country of residence?
Do you really want to pull up your roots and move to Cyprus? Here are some of the best reasons why this could be a good idea for you.
Weather in Cyprus
Once you're in Cyprus for about 5 minutes, you'll realize how glorious the climate is. With the sun shining more than 300 days out of the year, you can spend all your time outdoors basking in it.
Do you ever get sick of the cold or the rain in your current home? Cyprus will quickly win you over. No matter what your favorite outdoor activity is, you'll be able to do more of it because the warm sun is almost always out. Most of the year is ideal for shorts and t-shirts.
The winter months are between November and February, but even then it's not particularly cold. Some people don't even need a coat the entire time.
Food in Cyprus
Mediterranean cuisine is fabulous and very healthy. Rather than shop for processed food at the supermarket, people traditional get fresh and locally grown produce at local markets. It's a great experience. Your selection changes all the time as different fruits and vegetables come into season.
People in Cyprus
Most people who have moved to Cyprus have said how friendly and helpful their neighbors are. It's not uncommon to see that someone nearby has just dropped off a bag of onion, oranges or some fresh eggs just to be kind.
