The first and most primary job is to tell the router where to send the information sent to your computer. Just like handler mail just as the other parts of the country knows enough to keep an invitation card coming to you without knowing where your house located, most of the routers that forward an e-mail message to MAC address of your computer knows, but they know enough to keep the messages streaming.

Routers registered in order to understand the most common network protocols. This means that they know the format of the mailing, how many bytes in the basic package of data sent to the network, and how to ensure that all packages to achieve the destination and get reorganize.

Routers are main strength of the Internet world, it means millions of information packages moving around per seconds. Just moving the information packages along to its destination router will does it easily. And it is equally important in today's information technology world, to keep their message flow at the best potential way.

In the modern network, each email message is divided into small pieces. These pieces are sent one by one and reorganize when they are received at their end. Because the single pieces of information called as packets and each packet is sent along to different paths, like a train going through a range of switches. The same way your email travel any of the divisions of thousands different ways to get from the computer to the other side.

Sometimes, on specific time of day, some parts of the vast public network packet- switched networks are busier than others. If this kind of situation happens, the routers that create these systems talk to one another so that jammed areas web traffic can be securely sent through the network where less uncrowded router working. This function allows the network at full capacity without overloading the busy area. You can see, however, how to survive the attack of services, where people send millions and millions of messages on a particular server, the server and the forward message routers make a difference. Number of messages gather and pieces of the network full, more and more routers send out the message that they are busy, and the entire network to all its users can be struck.
