Africa, by chance or by virtue, possesses large tracts of pristine forests that are yet unsullied by man, and there can be nothing more exhilarating than an African safari through these forests. These pristine and untouched forests are a depiction of true nature; the beauty of lush green nature coupled with extensive wildlife that lives unhindered and uninhibited, is truly a magnificent experience. Seeing animals like lions and tigers in zoos always manages to leave us awestruck, you can only imagine what it would be like to see these animals out in the wild and in their own habitat. An African safari gives you a chance to experience wildlife and thus get a glimpse of nature at its best. Africa has by far the world's largest combination of flora and fauna, boasting of numerous species and types of animals and plants ranging from big cats to snakes and reptiles and even smaller creatures. The African reserves are perhaps the best place in the world to view and experience wildlife.

What A Safari Contains

Though the entire point of a safari is to experience nature, you really will not have to sleep out in the open. Depending on the safari you pick you can choose to live in as luxurious an accommodation as you want. There are a number of different safaris that vary in number of days, (5,6,7,8,9 days) the country in Africa (Tanzania, Kenya), the type of accommodation you would like and which all areas of that particular country's reserve forest would you like to take a safari to.

You wouldn't necessarily be staying in the same place every night and most probably will be going from one accommodation to another. If you like you can add separate extensions of another safari package into your safari if you would like to extend your safari.

Which Country To Pick

You can pick almost any country you want. The countries you can visit are Botswana, Tanzania, Seychelles, Egypt, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mauritius, Malawi, Mozambique and Morocco. All these countries have their own forest reserves and though the experience is the same, the type of flora and fauna you will encounter are different in each country.

Currently East Africa, that is Tanzania, is a hotspot of safaris and the famous Serengeti National Park is known around the world. Tanzania has everything to offer from deep blue oceans dotted with islands, deep rich forests, Mount Kilimanjaro (highest mountain in Africa), Lake Victoria (biggest lake in Africa), the Ngorongoro Crater that is an amphitheatre of nature, the wildebeest migration and of course the spice islands of the coast of Tanzania called Zanzibar. Tanzania is an exciting country to visit, and a safari through the rich expanses of this country will expose you to idyllic Africa. The panoramas and vistas of this bio-diverse country are sure to blow your mind. This place will be pure heaven for wildlife enthusiasts too, as it has approximately 95,000 square miles of forest reserve area.
