Have you watched the movie about Amelia Earhart, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean? It is an interesting movie and, like most people who push past known boundaries, she was a very intriguing person. She followed her dreams, and certainly her belief was that there are no boundaries to one's dreams.

I too agree with this philosophy. Dreams are unlimited, unrestricted and thus have infinite potential. Dreams inspire you, and enable you to stretch and grow. Yes, there are physical limitations which can cause issues, but your mind is full of endless potential. As you dream you allow your mind to explore new ideas, new concepts and you trigger a mechanism in your mind which automatically seeks a way to achieve your dreams.

When you dream you see pictures; clear, vivid, multi-colored, three dimensional pictures. You hear the sounds associated with those pictures and you become fully absorbed in the "reality" of your dreams. Dreaming is what makes a thought become "real" to you. Your physical body doesn't travel anywhere; it remains still and silent whilst your mind travels to endless far-away worlds. In your dreams, anything is possible; the impossible becomes possible.

As this imaginary world becomes ever more real to you in your dreams, your subconscious mind automatically aligns with this "goal". It instinctively seeks to find a way in which to make those dreams come true. The emotional vividness of your dreams is what triggers the incredible power of your own mind to push past boundaries and soar to new heights.

Your imagination is what paves the way to success. Without dreams life would be dull, boring and mundane; the air you breathe would feel stale and restrictive. But your ability to dream allows you spread your wings and fly, so long as you are open to doing so.

What might cause you to turn your back upon your dreams? What stops you from dreaming? Fear and insecurity is what stops so very many people from stepping out of their comfort zone and following their dreams. Fear is what makes life become stale and small.

In the movie Amelia Earhart explains something to a young child who is woken in the night, feeling afraid; he is afraid because the wall paper in the room is covered in tigers. He thinks the tiger's might come and get him. Amelia explains that her own most vivid fear was that of jungles and because of this she decorated the room in this way; whenever she was afraid she would walk into the room and face her fears.

Not everyone finds it that easy to confront their fears. The young boy in the movie responds by saying "I wish I lived with you because then I wouldn't be afraid of anything". Sometimes we need a little help and inspiration to enable us to overcome our fears. Ultimately we have to confront our fears, but most often it is easier to do so with a little bit if help.
