Are you a collector of information or do you prefer to analyse it? I guess that most people looking for information on making money on the web are simply collecting stuff on their hard drive. In fact, most probably have enough gathered there to both start up their online business in some form and to create products to sell.

1 Are you a collector? You tend to surf the internet even if you use a search engine regularly and tell yourself that you're trying to pinpoint something specific about internet marketing. You might have spent years doing this.

You have so much information that you complain of overload and that you can't see your way through it. You have collected stuff on all sorts of things, including quick money-making schemes, but you've not taken any real action.

You have plans, and plenty of them, made at different times when you've come across some interesting ideas. Yet you've hardly made a move.

2 Are you an analyser? Whereas the collector tends not to realise he is a collector as he thinks it's natural and the thing to do, you know that you stand back from that attitude and analyse stuff first.

You don't just download it for the heck of it, thinking you'll look at it one day. You like to analyse it there and then, mainly for two things.

First, do you know about the topic completely or is it something with a new twist? If there is something new to it you add it to your armoury. You think about how you could fit it into what you're doing.

Second, what are the likely results it will bring relative to the effort, money and time to use it? That is, what's the likely return on investment?

Obviously, it's better to be an analyser, looking to the future, taking action and focusing on making money rather than just collecting stuff in hope.
