Jamaican vacations are the first choice among world travelers. The lush island of Jamaican is situated barely ninety miles south of Cuba in the tropical waters of the Caribbean Sea. It is the third largest island in the Caribbean and number one travel destination for fun in the sun - island style.

Jamaica has three famous beaches: Montego Bay, Negril, and Ocho Rios. Montego Bay is the most popular of the beaches, well known through song and because of its many exclusive resorts. Negril is famous for all-inclusive resorts. Ocho Rios is a popular destination for tourists who enjoy nightlife.

In addition to the large beaches that make Jamaica a tourist mecca there are many smaller beaches that are less crowed. These secret treasures include the Doctor’s Cave Beach, Boston Bay Beach, and Cornwall Beach.

Beyond the beaches, the surf, and the sand, there is still much to do while on sunny Jamaican vacations. The Black River in Negril is famous for its unique crocodile species. Visitors can enjoy the Black River Safari and spot a few examples of this unusual species and enjoy a dip in a safe locale on the river. While in Negril tourists can also taste the local rum at the Appleton Estate.

In Montego Bay visitors will want to climb the Dunn River Waterfalls. This waterfall is world famous and gives climbers a once in a lifetime look at the local flora and fauna. Local guides will make a souvenir snapshot for climbers. Montego Bay also offers rafting on the lazy Bamboo River.

The majority of tourists on Jamaican vacations visit Ocho Rios. This is where the cruise ships dock and the Ocho Rios beaches are the most crowed. The streets in the area are filled with excellent local shops and souvenir stands.

One of the country’s most amazing natural sites is the Green Grotto. These sandstone caves are very mysterious and fun for everyone to visit. They offer a great respite from crowed beaches and busy streets and let visitors enjoy the true beauty of the island.

Jamaican vacations are truly worthy of their immense popularity. They are perfect for everyone and for all ages. Jamaican is for honeymooners, Jamaican is for families, and Jamaican is for friends!
