No-one would deny that travelling can be a stressful experience. You’re late to the airport and you’ve forgotten those essential items. The train is delayed so you miss that vital meeting. Baby’s screaming, children moaning, ‘Are we there yet?’ – it’s a wonder we travel at all!
Yet we do, and there is nothing better than arriving in Edinburgh and being able to walk into a fresh, serviced apartment, a little bit of home from home. Fully fitted kitchens, double beds with crisp linen, luxurious bathrooms and a private lounge; no wonder so many people prefer serviced apartments to hotels. You don’t even have to do the domestic chores as someone will do it all for you!
That said, part of the attraction of a serviced apartment is that you expect and receive the service of a four-star hotel. Included in most of Edinburgh’s apartment accommodation are private gyms, 24 hr receptions, taxi or transport booking services – all of which you’d expect from a hotel – but without the minimum stay or impersonality of most modern hotels.
Due to Edinburgh’s size and the layout of the city, its apartment accommodation is located in a residential area within easy reach of the thriving bars and bustling street but without the tourist trappings. You’re not under any pressure to sleep, eat and work in hotel bedroom or restaurant, which is great news for people in the process of relocating to Edinburgh, who don’t have a permanent home but don’t want to be confined to a hotel.
Flexibility, space and convenience, these are just a few of the benefits of serviced apartments over hotels. The onsite car parking – which most hotels cannot provide due to their central locations – is fantastic for families, those on business and those who want to use Edinburgh as a base to explore the surrounding countryside.
Apartment accommodation is also easy for families and the ideal alternative to hotels without having to sacrifice the four star service. Reception will even engage someone to do the grocery shopping for you and stock the apartment prior to your arrival – you give them a list, they get the goods. Travelling need never be stressful again.
