There really are few physiological differences between men and women, as far as weight lifting routines are concerned.  Man and woman have the same muscles and they work the same way.  Differences in joint angles, particularly legs and bone density require some slight modification. However, women tend to prefer machines over free weights.  Free weights develop more agility and coordination, but machines can be faster and easier to use.
