There are several ways to find the cruise deal that suits you. High street travel agents have long been the choice of holidaymakers, with their racks of glossy brochures and helpful staff. Often the travel agent specialises in cruise holidays, and they are able to offer personal advice on a particular cruise that they may have sampled themselves.

But with a busy life time is often short, and how many of us can afford to spend a precious Saturday morning with a travel agent while they source a cruise holiday to suit their personal requirements and budget?

More and more people are turning to the internet to find the perfect cruise. This is especially so if they have already enjoyed a cruise and they know what they are looking for. Most internet cruise sites have very wide-ranging search facilities, with extensive details on the cruise line, the itineraries, stacks of photos, and sometimes video guides around the ship. Many have passenger reviews that can be extremely helpful in deciding which cruise is the right one for you. Another big advantage is cruise deals that are only on offer online.

Before you start your internet search why not spend an evening browsing a few of the many blogs on the subject of cruise holidays and cruise ships? They can be both interesting and informative as they are, mainly, quite independent and unbiased. They can provide some background information that can be invaluable if you have never experienced a cruise holiday. Many crew staff, such as ships pursers, have joined the ‘blogging ‘community recently and their postings can provide an exciting insight into cruising.

The internet is a great resource if you are planning an independent, tailor-made cruise. Perhaps the idea of a fun-filled two weeks in the Caribbean is not your idea of the perfect holiday; you want something just that bit different but you're not sure what. In that case, a click through some Alaska cruises may inspire you to be a little more adventurous.

Planning a trip can be half the fun of the whole holiday. Online you have all the time, and information you need, and the choice at the end of your investigation will be entirely yours. There will have been no sales pitch, but plenty of good advice.

Early booking can bring its rewards with lower prices, but if you think you may have left it late to source a cruise there can be some excellent late cruise deals online.

Don't book the first cruise you come across. The same cruise will almost certainly be on several sites, so make a note of the price; and a bit of research will often pay dividends. Don't be afraid to enquire about senior discounts as many cruise holidays do offer discounts especially to senior citizens, and you don't always have to be over the age of 60 to benefit as some cruise companies offer senior discounts even if you are only 55.

Jetline Cruise are fully bonded agents for all major cruise lines, and members of the Association of Cruise Experts (ACE). Our area of expertise is offering discounted cruise deals and cruise holidays, as the saying goes we sell cruise holidays cheaply not cheap cruise holidays.
