In today's economy people are desperately looking for ways to increase their income. With unemployment the highest ever, the rate stands at 9.5%. This is much higher than President Obama or his administration could predict! Attending job employment fairs are swarming with individuals unemployed…Resulting with more employees than jobs. So is finding a job the solution?

Many individuals have been blessed with unemployment but if you have a mortgage, car note, insurances and credit card debt, no way you can survive on this alone. The government has been gracious in putting more cash into the unemployed but how long will this last? There are some individuals that are not receiving unemployment at all for various reasons.

Why aren't more individuals starting their own businesses? The Kauffman study report says that only 3.7% of unemployed workers are starting their own businesses rather than looking for a job. This figure is down from 7.6% in the first half of 2009 and down from 9.6% in the second half of 2009. The previous low was 4.4%, during the second half of 2008 … While new companies create an average of 3 million jobs, existing firms lose about one million jobs a year. The Kauffman study also suggests that startups continue to create jobs, even during recessions.

There are many businesses that are finding great success from the internet. So you will not have to get a huge loan from a bank in order to get started. With the economy the way it is who really has hundreds to thousands of dollars to start a business?

I've been unemployed since 2008, I knew there were individuals that were making money online but who? I searched, got involved with a few and made money with some and others I did not. But I kept searching in hopes that I would find a business that would work. After my last business venture I was fed up! I came to the conclusion that many had a lot of hype, they were making promises they could not keep that set me up for failure and I was just tapped out of funds. Remember, I am unemployed! I noticed I spent time and gas attending meetings, making phone calls or sending emails to invite my friends and family to these meetings or conference calls and guess what? Made little to no money! Can anyone relate? My family and friends were not interested in what I had to offer. And after awhile they started running when they saw me because I was always introducing them to something else I was into…lol. My thinking of what I had discovered ran deep and I applied as I search for other businesses.

As you conduct your research you may come across some profound and highly-controversial truths and untruths while creating your business. It's great to know some principles that will save you an enormous amount of time, money and headaches while in search of a business or in your present business.

So it's up to you to continue to work for someone else or take some of that time, money and energy and put in your own business. Only what you do for yourself will last! Jobs do come and go!
