The Secret Behind Sustained Energy:
It's fueled by: Isomaltulose, a novel and natural carbohydrate energy source. It is found naturally occurring in honey and sugar cane extract. This unique carbohydrate metabolizes more slowly when compared to sucrose, (table sugar) and maltose (malt sugar).
Because it is not metabolized as quickly, energy levels are longer and more sustained. Unlike other carbohydrates that are digested slowly, Isomaltulose is digested completely, which means no gastric discomfort like those experienced by consuming sugar alcohols and fiber based sweeteners.
The consumption of Isomaltulose when compared with sucrose and glucose leads to lower blood glucose and lower insulin responses. This means that the body experiences a more gradual rise in the sugar available to provide energy to the cells and a more gradual decline.
So the energy provided by Isomaltulose is available to tissues that need energy such as muscles and the brain longer than if sucrose was consumed. These benefits may help consumers to avoid the peaks and valleys associated with high sugar energy alternatives.
Isomalutose is also kinder to teeth than sucrose and is not readily fermented by oral microbes. Recent studies of Isomaltulose have shown it can help promote a steady stream of energy over a longer period of time.
Isomaltulose is sweet and soluble and tastes like sugar which makes it ideal for the production of the next-generation of energy drinks. Most energy drinks are loaded with high fructose corn syrup and caffeine for a quick jolt, but can often leave you feeling foggy and jittery.
B-complex Vitamins: B-complex consists of essential vitamins important for many physiological and metabolic functions. B vitamins are essential for the metabolism of carbohydrates and fat into energy. The B-complex vitamins included in ISOsport Sustained Energy are vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, and B12.
Where Do I Get the Antioxident Boost?
Resveratrol Extract: is a type of substance called phytoalexin, which is similar to an antibiotic. Resveratrol is produced when plants are attacked by bacteria or fungi. When a plant discovers that there has been damage done to its cell walls due to pathogens, they tend to deploy free radicals to help eliminate the problem quickly.
Resveratrol is found naturally in the environment. It was first discovered in a plant called the white hellebore, a member of the lily family. Resveratrol was also then found in the Japanese knotweed. However, resveratrol extract only came into the limelight when it was credited as the reason for the benefits of wine for those suffering from heart disease.
It has been published in some scientific journals that resveratrol shows promise in the treatment of cancer. Studies done on animals show that resveratrol interacts with the cancerous cells to render them ineffective.
Studies have shown that mammals who were given high dosages of this particular substance had the tendency to build muscle and decreased the buildup of fats. This means that resveratrol extract shows promise in terms of reducing obesity and lowering cholesterol levels.
Vitamin C: Vitamin C is one of many antioxidants. Antioxidants are nutrients that block some of the damage caused by free radicals, which are by-products that result when our bodies transform food into energy.
Vitamin E: Vitamin E has been proposed for the prevention or treatment of numerous health conditions, often based on its antioxidant properties.
Caffeine: Most energy drinks contain between 70 and 200 mg. An 8 oz cup of coffee contains 110-150mg. ISOsport contains only 38mg...by comparison, a full can of RockStar has 160mg. Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system giving the body a sense of alertness, but our optimized level prevents the jitters.
Quercetin is a phytochemical that is part of the coloring found in the skins of apples and red onions. Quercetin is a powerful antioxidant and a natural anti-histamine, and anti-inflammatory. Research shows that quercetin may help to prevent cancer, especially prostate cancer.
Quercetin's antihistamine action may help to relieve allergic symptoms and asthma symptoms. The anti-inflammatory properties may help to reduce pain from disorders such as arthritis. Men who are concerned about prostate problems would also benefit from quercetin. Quercetin may also help reduce symptoms like fatigue, depression and anxiety.
