Wedding speeches have been one of the traditions in a nuptial, ever since. Usually, people address their speech in the reception, probably to break the individualizing groups and bring back everybody’s attention to the newlyweds. Wedding speeches are generally interesting and touching, which catches the people’s attention, especially when it’s full of pleasing words. It would also get some people in tears if the speech is delivered well.

Generally, there are three speeches delivered in a wedding ceremony. The first one to deliver a speech is the bride’s father, followed by the bridegroom, and the lastly the best man whom people look forward to the most. All three speeches are usually delivered emotionally to go with the ambience of the setting.

Father’s speech

The family and friends of the bride says a little something about her, and wishes her luck and happiness towards her new stage in life. After the short speeches, the best man calls upon the bride’s father to propose a toast to both the bride and the bridegroom. The father would thank all the family and friends, who speak of kind words for his daughter. He then would deliver his own appreciative speech to the bride and proposes a toast.

Bridegroom’s speech

After the speech of the father’s bride, the bridegroom takes the chance to speak up. He has all good words for his parents and his in law’s, thanking them for their years of undying of love and support. The bridegroom would thank his friends and family who attended his wedding and joining him in making the most memorable event of his life, and would appreciate everybody who has helped both him, and her wife in making the wedding possible. He would say a few endearing words for his wife, in ending his speech. If the wedding is more of scheduled and traditional, not much people expect from the bridegroom’s wedding speech.

Best man’s speech

The best man’s dedication is made much more important. Since he would be the last to deliver a speech, it’s all in his hand in pinching up some fun in the place. It would be good if the best man is a fine speaker, he then can entertain the people with a little bit of humour in his words. It is important that the best man’s speech is more light and easy for the crowd of all age, because unlike the father’s bride and the bridegroom, he can deliver in a silly way. You should be very picky in selecting a person for this speech. You don’t want somebody saying just random things about you, and remember this is no ordinary day for you. The best man’s speech actually draws the crowd’s attention with some ridiculous jokes, which makes the place a little less emotional. In a very same way, he invites the bride into their circle of friends.
