The success of environment-friendly campaign is very evident on how people warmly reacted to it. As we all know, environmental tote bags are extremely utilized in most supermarkets and groceries in lieu of plastic bags. At this moment, everything seems to step into the rhythm of the eco-friendly beat because even custom printed journals are being used to advertise environmental lifestyle and recycling.
As a proof, there are custom journals that are recycled and fabricated out of used journals and notebooks. Other than that, used journals can also be converted into something new like a mini scrapbook or any craft done through paper mache.
How to recycle old unused journal pages?
Unused journals should be given a chance to be used. Always bear in mind that myriad of trees were cut just to give someone with a standard journal. If your children have unused notebooks after the school year, do not throw them to rot. Collect all the unused leaves and set the used ones aside. Search for a thicker class of paper that you can utilize for the cover. Just design it the way you want. Use dried leaves, flowers and other organic items to embody your eco-friendly crusade. Get a roll of colored thread that you can use as your binder.
How to create a scrap book using old journals?
Give your old journals a face lift by transforming it into a mini scrapbook. Just take all the used pages and retain all the unused. Design it with decorative materials like beads, scrap booking threads, ribbons, magazine cut outs and photo of you and your loved ones. Do it with any of your family member or your friends. Truly, fabricating something new will unleash the inner artist in you. Aside from that, you are able to enjoy quality time with your loved ones.
How to do paper mache using aged journals?
Don't waste all the used pages of your old notebooks and journals. Instead, do paper mache and convert it into something else. Paper mache can brave your creativity and imagination. All you have to do is get a mold and homemade glue. Tear the used leaves of your old custom journal and coat it with the homemade glue. Stick it on the mold. Once you have fully covered it, let it dry.
Slice it symmetrically so you can take your pattern out of your paper mache. Reconstruct the paper mache by placing patches of glued paper. Patch the cut area until no trace of dent is noticeable. Once you are done, let it dry. Paint the finish product with the colors of your pick.
Definitely, this fun activity can save more trees from being cut. Do it with your friends and family. You might not know, you might spark money making machinery by making something out of total wastes.
