When it comes to Breast Cancer prevention and treatment, vitamins and nutritional supplements may help. Most doctors will encourage you to take a pro-active role in your own health. Antioxidants, vitamins and minerals may improve your immune system and help your body to react to illnesses.
No doubt that a healthy diet is the best source of vitamins and minerals for your body. But eating well is not always easy or feasible. You may neglect some ingredients or quantities your body most need. Other times you may not be at the right place and time to enjoy a healthy meal. That is the reason why is so important to take the right nutritional supplement to help you out with your daily needs and staying healthy. Think of the nutritional supplements as your health insurance!
The human body is made to heal itself if properly maintained. This includes food, physical exercises, healthy habits and a pro-active attitude toward life. Your body, if properly treated and maintained you can defeat any illnesses.
Whilst you can go on surgery, chemotherapy and radiation to remove tumors, your body still needs high potency nutritional supplements to maintain healthy cells, and to help on your recovery.
But what should you take?
Most of the vitamins and supplements you can find in drugstore and supermarkets may not contain the right ingredients and doses for your case. Despite their low cost, you may be wasting your money. High-potency pharmaceutical-grade nutritional supplements provide a consistent level of nutrition but they are not available in supermarkets and drugstores.
Most women take alternative medicine products or nutritional supplements. Breast cancer patients are particularly vulnerable to purchasing nutritional supplements. It is true that most vitamins and nutritional supplements have not yet been tested enough by the scientific community to attest its efficacy on certain illnesses. The main questioning on the use of nutritional supplements as an alternative therapy is the possible interactions of supplements with current drugs, the potential adverse effects associated, and that many patients do no disclose to their doctors what they are taking.
This is where I relied upon expert medical advice.
Medical science continues to investigate natural herbal compounds to identify whether these substances may prevent or treat breast cancer. However, most of these products available in the market have not yet been tested in clinical studies and are not regulated by the FDA.
Of course we realized that it is so much easier to rely on attractive promises of alternative medicine in particular when we are suffering of serious illness like breast cancer because natural medicines may be perceived as less toxic than drugs.
Breast cancer patients and the general public are unaware that most herbal supplements and natural compounds have not yet been tested enough by scientific studies. Natural compounds are not regulated as drugs to assure quality and efficacy. There are not many scientific evidences on how these products work and whether they will produce any meaningful result. More studies are required to confirm effectiveness and safety. However, this does not mean that they should be avoided or their use discarded. If we avoid entirely nutritional supplements we may be avoiding the cure or the mean of cure of many illnesses. It may take many years to come to a final conclusion, and until such evidences are available, we should use of caution to select the proper vitamin and nutritional supplements in particular for vulnerable breast cancer patients.
There are just a few antioxidant compounds that may help. Thesebreast cancer supplements are made of high-potency ingredients and can bring excellent results for breast cancer prevention and treatment as some patients already found. For more information visit this web site.
