People are all different. No two men or women are completely alike. This is why maintaining a strong relationship is so difficult. Everyone has different likes and dislikes, and when rubbed the wrong way too often people start looking for signs a relationship is over.

Anyone who wishes to leave a relationship has 1 of 2 broad reasons. They genuinely do not want to be with that person anymore, or they do want to be with that person, but they wish that person was better in some way shape or form. As you go through the signs the relationship is over see which side of the fence you are on.

Look Forward to Time Away

It is a huge red flag that a relationship is nearing an end when either person looks forward to being away from their partner. Are you excited when he has to work late so you do not have to see him,or deal with him until later? If you do not enjoy time spent with your partner the relationship is essentially over already.

The only remedy for this problem is to evaluate what went wrong. Are you bitter at your spouse or do you just not want to be with them any more? If there is some resentment it could be remedied through communication.

However if you simply no longer want to be together than you should break it off immediately. Do not waste either of your time if you are not interested in being together. You do not have to be cruel about it, just state that its not working for you. Not every relationship is meant to be.

Nervous About Spending Time Together

When one person wants to leave a relationship they feel guilty. When you go out in public together it can feel like you are living a lie.

If you do not enjoy some ones company it can feel like an uphill struggle. If this were a friend you could simply not call them for a few days, but you are around your significant other all the time. Naturally some days will be better than others, but when everyday is tough to get through your relationship will head south if not confronted properly.

When you truly love some one time together should feel fulfilling and even rewarding. If you have to struggle to spend time together then perhaps you are wasting each others time.

No Physical Contact

Do you or your spouse avoid any kind of contact. I am not talking specifically about sex, I mean do they dodge out of the way to avoid brushing by you? Do they hesitate when you offer them a kiss? These are classic signs of deeper resentment.

This person is not repulsed by you physically, but they are definitely bitter about something. When we are bitter with a spouse we often times bottle it up to avoid confrontation. However this does a psychological toll on a person and just makes things worse.

Avoiding contact is a passive aggressive way of showing disdain for someone. With out any kind of communication to get to the root of the problem things will only get worse until the bitter end.

Does this Mean its Over?

Not necessarily. These feelings stem from resentment most of the time. The resentments could be anything (they look at members of the opposite sex too much, you feel they are lazy, you feel they are arrogant, etc...) but its bitterness none the

less. Because these feelings often do not get communicated the reaction becomes increasingly more spiteful when these actions inevitably keep happening.

If you are harboring resentment about something you need to let your partner know. Too often in a relationship people expect their spouse to automatically know what is bothering them. Can you read your partners mind? If not there is a good chance they ca not read yours either. Talk it through before you make any rash decisions.

Any relationship problem can be worked on if both partners are willing to put in the effort. In most cases the reason you have not yet left this person indicates that there is some connection there. Communication problems can be worked on and straightened out.

Through communication is the only way you can find out for sure if you simply do not want to be with this person. If you have no hard feelings you can think of besides just being together, you two should break it off. Some people simply do not mix and not every relationship is meant to last.

Evaluate the signs your relationship is over and see what you come up with for yourself. If there is love there it can be worked on, but when one or both sides decides they are no longer feeling the love the relationship is over.
