Here are some healthy vegetable juicing recipes that are tailor-made for a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer. You will also find a handful of the health benefits these juices will provide.

The Pep-Up Juice

2 beets

To get the most-excellent beet juice benefits, get organic and juice them with their peels on. It is not necassery for peeling. The peel is a superb source of antioxidants and soluble fiber (soluble fiber reaches the final juice, only insoluble fiber is thrown away by the power juicer). Research undertaken a couple of years ago in Great Britian, researchers brought to light that administering beet juice to cyclists increased the distance they could exercise. The cyclists were able to cycle for twelve percent longer on average after drinking a daily beet juice for a period of 14 days.

The Heart Healthy Juice

5 large carrots

3 stalks of celery (including leaves)

The juice of celery is among the most potent natural remedies for high blood pressure. The compounds in celery juice, called phthalides, create a strong relaxing effect upon the arteries, allowing them to stretch further. The knock-on-effect of this is it naturally lowers blood pressure.

Carrot juice is an awesome source of beta-carotene, a phyto-chemical which is also goes by the name of pro-vitamin A. The reason is that the liver converts beta-carotene to vitamin A as required by the body. In spite of the fact that carrots are loaded with beta-carotene, carrot juices are even higher in beta-carotene!. Beta-carotene bonds with the tough fibers in carrots, and even though we set free some beta-carotene through chewing, a juice extractor does a considerably better job of it. Cross-country research show that people with highest amounts of beta-carotene in their diet are dramatically less prone to develop heart disease or suffer strokes and heart attacks than those with the least amount of beta-carotene in their diet. Beta-carotene also helps to protect our eyes from free radical damage and as a result keep the eyes young.

Leafy Green Juice

6 large carrots

1 cup of spinach

1 cup of kale

To achieve the best yield of juice out of kale and spinach roll the leaves into a ball previous to putting them into your Jack LaLanne Power Juicer. This aids to maximize juice yield as opposed to putting these greens in "flat". Kale and spinach are great sources of a plant compound called chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is one of the best natural agents for detoxifying and cleansing the blood, has natural anti-fungal characteristics and supports the transport oxygen through the blood. In many detoxification programs you will often see that chlorophyll is a key ingredient.
