It is a sad fact, but true that so many network marketers struggle with their business and the majority are stuck at the bottom of the comp plan ranks. This really should change right?

I struggled myself for many years (about 5 actually) to get my business to take off. All that bugging of friends, family and anyone within a 3 foot radius was pretty hard going and quite frankly made me pretty unpopular! I would always wake up thinking surely there must be a better way to build my business and actually get things moving.

Anyway around that time I had discovered the internet and saw an advert online for 'internet network marketing', it was talking about how to setup a website on the internet to sell products and generate leads. I always like to be in on the next new thing so I got right on the case. Within 2 weeks, I had an 'opportunity' website up and running along with a website selling the product. My sites actually caused quite a stir further up the chain as I actually had a call from an executive director praising me for my efforts. I don't think they had ever seen a website before lol. Bear in mind that most of my uplines were traditional, old school marketers.

I had a little knowledge about making a website but at this stage I didn't really have any clue about driving traffic to it. The bottom line is that in around 10-12 months I sold about $2,500 worth of product, generated about 500 leads and recruited 5 people. These were by no means results that would change my life, however it was clear to see that there was some potential to build my business on the internet.

So why do I explain my story to you? Well I hope that it will give you some inspiration, if you are struggling with the more traditional ways of building your business then there is hope.

Now that I have actually learnt internet marketing, my business has completely transformed and I now get over 20 leads each and every day, earn affiliate income from 18 different streams and recruit into my main business each week.

In what way is it beneficial for us to build our business online?

Leverage. This is important, as you don't want to be tied to your business, you want your business to work for you! The internet is a growing phenomenon and more and more network marketers are looking online for solutions to build their business and there are countless opportunity seekers searching every day.

With a little time and effort, even someone who is new to the industry can soon set themselves up and be generating leads, commissions and signups. Countless systems are available that will do almost everything for you. You will still need to personally connect with your leads for maximum results!

It doesn't really matter if you are new to online marketing or not, using simple strategies and methods you can be receiving 10-20 leads each day into your sales funnel, recruiting and earning in a short space of time. Plus of course some of them are going to join your business.
