In the online business world websites that have content updated constantly will in most cases gain more organic traffic than static counterparts. The reason for this is you can rank a blog well for a term the same as a static website, but the blog posts will also rank well for the titles as long as they are not overly competitive. Even if you have a static website it is a good idea to create a directory and add the wordpress platform. I did this with my website Make Money Online and it has helped dramatically in the search engines. Now when I write an article I get free organic website traffic when people enter the term into Google and the other major search engines. I am still getting the same traffic for the terms the website is ranked well for, but now I am also getting traffic for the keywords my blog posts rank well for.

In the beginning when you create a blog the posts will come easily. You will have no problem whatsoever thinking of what to write. Once you have written post after post problems will arise thinking of different things to write. With my blog The Online Business Project there are several things I will do after running out of ideas. The first and one of the best is going back to the basics. Remember the majority of new traffic coming to your web presence will not be well informed of your niche so frequent backtracks to basics will be important. These basic posts are the ones that will build trust with new readers so try to post frequently on beginner topics within your niche. If you have already posted hundreds of beginner topics and are wanting to move on then there are several ways to find what people are looking for within your niche.

One of the first places I go when out of ideas and wanting to find new blog posts is the major social networks. The best social network when trying to find questions and topics within your niche is Twitter and this is because they have a search. Go to search.twitter.com and start searching for topics within your niche. Remember twitter has millions upon millions of people so you should easily find questions and problems that are arising within your niche. Once you have found a question try writing a post about the topic. Another network which is extremely helpful when trying to find the problems and questions within your niche is facebook.com. Now facebook does not have the same quality search as twitter so personally rather than using a search I use facebook groups. Join large groups that are related to your niche and spend time reading the wall looking for quality post titles. People here will post problems and questions they need answering.

Some important points when trying to create a successful blog online is to keep writing. Really it does not matter where you find the ideas for your blog as long as you have them. If you get ideas by going for a walk on a cold winter night then buy a nice coat and start walking. Successful blogs have quality content being published to them frequently so find what gives you the ideas and start writing posts.
