When done right, a pick up does not really look like a pick up at all. When done wrong, everyone within 20 feet of you knows what you are trying to do. Guys will assume that the secret to picking up women is to have that killer line or that routine that is almost hypnotic, but those are not the most important aspects of a successful pick up. The foundation for getting a woman you don't know to go home with you, give her your number, or anything else is to create rapport with her.

Here are 3 keys to a successful pick up and when you use them the right way, women will respond well to you:

1. Make warm eye contact with her.

When they hear that they should make eye contact with a woman, some guys will end up giving her a cold glance, one that ends up spooking her. That is the opposite of what you want to do. You need to make warm eye contact with her, make it seem like you are almost smiling with your eyes. This will not just make her feel more comfortable around you, but it can also end up giving her that love at first sight feeling that women want to experience.

2. Start off a conversation with her without going right in with a line or an attempt at getting her to go home with you.

Moving too slow gets you in the friend zone, moving too fast and you end up going home alone. If you start off with a line or a thinly veiled attempt to get her to go home with you, you are moving too fast. Sure, maybe one woman will respond to that here and there, but it will not give you a good track record. You need to be a little more discreet and subtle and start off the conversation as just a way to break the ice and begin the rapport building process.

3. Use kino (physical touch) to get the sparks flying between you and her.

Being able to escalate beyond just a little playful flirting and clever banter is a must have skill if you are going to be able to close on a woman, so you need to use kino as a way to start that escalation. Just make sure that you start out small, touching her in places like her hips, the inside of her knee, and not outright groping her.
