Pilates exercise routines aim to improve your posture, muscle strength and
endurance, balance, and flexibility. The main advantage of doing the routines is
to get a strong stable core that is able to support your body in its ideal
position. With this ability, your body is always moving at its most optimum;
minimal stress and tension as you go about your activities and work. Without a
doubt, doing Pilates exercises is effective as part of a back pain relief measure.
So, why are Pilates exercises good for back pain relief? Because it works!
Power Up That Core
If you have good core strength, you most probably would have good posture. Core
muscles are postural muscles. They work in a passive manner throughout the day
to assist you in maintaining good posture and form. Doing Pilates helps you to
build strong awareness as to how you are supposed to get your core muscles, like
the pelvic floor to work constantly in good form. You can be sitting, standing,
walking, running, jumping but whatever you do, your core is constantly switched
on; continually working without fail to support you through all those functional
things you do daily. And if your core muscles are always on, there is very little
chance of you getting back pain or back injury of any type.
Pilates basic exercises teaches you how to activate your core. Muscles in your
pelvic floor and the deeper abdominal group are re-educated to learn how to
contract well. These fundamentals are the tools to you getting the right skills
to achieve a powerful core.
Gives Instant Back Pain Relief
Back pain is one of the most common physical discomforts experienced by most
people. Other people develop the condition from constant lifting, twisting, and
bending of the body. Some get it from sitting down for too long. Scientific
studies have found that smoking and stress could also contribute to back pain.
Back pain can be felt as a constant tightness or a dull ache at one side of the
lower back. It can be felt sometimes on both sides. Back pain does not just go
away, it can linger around for years with varying degree of pain. As it becomes
chronic, some numbness can travel down the back of the legs as well.
Pilates routines specific to low back release creates space in each vertebrae.
The articulation of each vertebrae helps the spine to become stronger instead of
being stiff and tight. All this gives your lower back instant relief and better
circulation.
Prevents Relapse
Knowing that you have a chronic back pain issue is just the beginning. It is not
enough to bring about a change in your condition unless you take action. You
need to embark on a Pilates program to change the status of your back.
Most people with chronic back pain are afraid to move for fear of further injury.
This is the exact opposite of how you can prevent further injury and get well
quickly. Our muscles need to be challenged continuously to get stronger and
stronger. This is known as "the effect of training". Pilates is a great tool for
the maintenance of back pain. Do it to get well and stay strong. Use it or lose
it!
Anti-aging Principle
As we age, we lack the kind of power and strength to engage in activities that
is too strenuous for the body. We need to select an appropriate program that
works for the body without subjecting the body to further injury and harm.
Pilates is a controlled movement requiring a strong deep connection of the body
in order to efficiently and effectively bring about a positive change. Pilates
is about training "Body Intelligence". This form of work is deep, re-energizing
and it rejuvenate the whole system. Move yourself to the next level with Pilates!
Is the wonder solution with no side effect.
