In nowadays wedding receptions, bridesmaids are very commonplace to see in the marriage ceremony. In a western wedding, there is normally more than one bridesmaid. They always will do their bride-to-be a big favor to make she look more fashionable and chic. The bride must be the most beautiful one among them. And in customary china, there is one bridesmaid to accompany the bride in the overall day. Basically, the bride comes from the female side. The main role of the bridesmaid is to care for the bride.
So, what does the tradition of bridesmaid come from? We should trace back to the old Roman times when bridesmaid is applied for functioning as a human defense to secure the bride from being kidnapped. And many others say that the bridesmaid, dressing similar to the bride, is to trick the evil spirits and do not know which one is going to get engaged to be married. And in the current times, the meaning of bridesmaid has switched. Usually, maid of honor is a good friend or cousin. It is just a custom instead of some other real meanings.
From the evening before the big event, the bridesmaid will accompany the bride for the bride will be very nervous. The maid can talk and play with the bride to channel her concentration. And in the wedding event, maid of honor must shoulder a lot of accountabilities, which includes helps her dress, put the flowers on the chest of the guests and others. But the busiest time is toasting the attendees. In that day, all the friends of the bride and groom will give their best wishes to the new couple. And they will all toast to them. So it is easy for the bride to be drunk. Therefore, one of your duties is avoiding more drinks.
And another responsibility is helping the bride changing their wedding and prom dresses. Usually, the bride has to alter several dresses in the whole process. So changing attire is very important. On one side, you should avoid the clothes ruining the delicate make-up. Then again, the bride will be very tired at that day. Therefore, you should work it out to offer service to her. And after the wedding, your work is yet over. You need to pack for the bride and groom.
Have you ever work as a bridesmaid? I have been a bridesmaid in my sister wedding. In the whole day, I have to follow her. Despite it is hard and tiring, it's still my honor to observe her contentment and marriage. But I have heard that a single girl can not be a bridesmaid in excess of 3 times. Or she could not marry anyone. I never know whether that is true.
The wedding dresses are very fashionable. In the upcoming 2011 summer, beach wedding dresses are for your choice.
