The most southerly county of England and the UK is Cornwall, home to vast sandy beaches, sublime scenery, wild waves from the ocean and an outstanding natural beauty which has made Cornwall a favourite amongst tourists and a popular face to postcards. Cornwall in many of the small fishing communities which mainly cater toward tourists portrays a scene of stepping back in time, not much has changed in many seaside towns and villages. On the other hand holiday venues and accommodation are at a high standard and are a modern and quality standard ensuring a relaxing holiday with those you hold dearly.
The entirety of Cornwall provides valuable sights and attractions to its visiting guests, be your interests costal or inland, stepping back from the coast (if you can!) has many attractions you might want to consider taking the children (big and small) too. So here is a compilation of things to do while in Cornwall.
The Eden Project near St Austell is a great holiday destination for anyone staying in Cornwall and is one of the premiere attractions to the county, rightly so - Eden is a unique project and one which has benefited a disused clay pit bringing Cornwall to the forefront of tourist destinations. Browse the many 'bio domes', restaurants and timed entertainment, book in for a day with evening entertainment and you could literally spend the entire day and evening here come wind or wet weather.
The Bluereef Aquarium in Newquay is a fantastic destination for all the family and within a popular tourist town. There are tons of fish here which you can get a close look at hundreds of sea creature's environments. This aquarium has favourites such as sharks and penguins plus many more to keep you entertained in all weather conditions.
The National Maritime Museum in Falmouth is a project to combine tourism with Cornwalls deep and historic marine past. Within the museum there is much for children to see and partake in including racing boats, interactive videos and a trip which takes you under the sea (at the right tide). Another all-weather attraction in Cornwall.
Concluding my top three all-weather attractions in Cornwall, don't forget between checking off your tick list to spend some time relaxing and unwinding. If your with children the beach is ideal for this, you can relax whilst they play. Rent out a boat, or take a charter and enjoy the majesty that is Cornwall, you will miss it when your gone!
Campers in Cornwall provide VW Camper Vans available for rental when you are traveling around Cornwall and the South West of England. To find quality Campers in Cornwall or VW Campervan Hire Cornwall check out Campers in Cornwall.
